Edward O’Neal Dies Following Operation
Edward O’Neal, for the past six years a resident of the North Powder community, died of a complication of diseases in a Baker hospital Friday of last week.
For the past two years Mr. O’Neal with his family had resided on a ranch in the Wolf Creek district. About two months ago his health became such that he entered a Baker hospital for treatment. He did not improve and Friday of last week submitted to a major operation, dying a few hours afterward.
The body was taken to La Grande, the former home, for funeral services and burial. The widow and several children survive.
