C.C. Olson of Haines Died in California
Christopher C. Olson, a pioneer resident of Haines, who was stricken with an attack of paralysis and diabetes at Long Beach, California, where with Mrs. Olson, he was spending the winter, died Wednesday night according to a telegram received by relatives from his son, Arthur, who left for his father’s bedside last week.
Mr. Olson was 79 years of age, and is survived by Mrs. Olson, and three sons and five daughters – Arthur, Charley and Joe Olson, and Mrs. Christina Bieber, Mrs. Maggie Hearing and Kate, Lena and Theresa Olson, all of Haines, and one sister in Nebraska. – Haines Record.
The body was brought to Haines and funeral services held Wednesday afternoon in the Methodist church. Many attended to pay their last respects to one of the pioneers of the valley.
