William Ormsby, Jr. aged 24, died at his home seven miles northeast of here this morning [August 8, 1912]. His demise was caused by blood poisoning resulting from a slight scratch which he received while working on his farm Tuesday. He had been as well as usual and had been to town on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday afternoon but when the poison set in, death was sudden.
Mr. Ormsby is survived by his wife, an infant child, and his father, William Ormsby who was at one time assessor of Sugar Creek township. Funeral services will be held at ten Saturday morning. [Interment in Bower’s Cemetery]
