Roma Marques, 83, of Baker City died May 30, 2009, at her home with her daughter and hospice by her side. Her memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Baker City Christian Church, 675 Highway 7. Roma moved to Baker City in 1994 after the death of her husband to be near her daughter and family. She lived an active life, enjoying outings with her friends and family until earlier this year when her health declined. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Black and Zeke Marques. Richard Dale Frazier, 63, died May 25, 2009, at Halfway. Richard was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He lived in Indiana most of his life and worked as a pipe fitter/welder as a member Local Union, No. 440. He enjoyed traveling in his later years between Needles, Calif., and Halfway. Richard loved to come to the Halfway area because of the mountains and to pick mushrooms with his friends. John, 72, was born Feb. 26, 1937, in Baker City, Ore. and died April 10 in Sahuarita. John and his wife Darlene lived in Basin from 1996 until 2007 while he was working construction.
