Nanaimo Tribe
The Nanaimo Tribe, also known as the Nanaimo First Nation, is a Salish Indigenous group residing around Nanaimo Harbor and Nanaimo Lake on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. They speak the Cowichan dialect and had a recorded population of 161 in 1906. The tribe comprises several gentes, including Anuenes, Koltsiowotl, Ksalokul, Tewethen, and Yesheken.
