Nakotchokutchin Tribe
The Nakotchokutchin are a Kutchin tribe located on the lower Mackenzie River, specifically north of Kawchodinneh. Their territory extends east to the Anderson River, primarily hunting caribou. Historically, they engaged in sporadic conflicts with the Eskimo along the Mackenzie River, though they maintained trade relationships. In 1866, the tribe consisted of approximately 50 men.
