Astouregamigoukh Tribe
The Astouregamigoukh Indians were noted as a minor tribe situated north of the St. Lawrence River, as referenced in the Jesuit Relations of 1643. It is likely that they comprised a Montagnais band or settlement located near the headwaters of the Saguenay or St. Maurice River.
