Dr. James S. Thorburn, born on November 21, 1830, in Queenston, Ontario, is a prominent Canadian physician and a dedicated community leader. Educated at the Toronto and Edinburgh Universities, he established a successful medical practice after graduating in 1855. Thorburn has held several significant roles, including physician at multiple hospitals and lecturer at medical institutions. He is also active in the Canadian Militia. Married in 1858, he has three children. His father, David Thorburn, was a notable politician and Reform Party leader who passed away in 1862.
