Biographical Sketch of Jesse Spielman

Jesse Spielman, a farmer from Huntington County, Pennsylvania, moved to Burt County, Nebraska, in May 1857. He has built a successful farming operation, owning approximately 1,160 acres, of which 250 are cultivated. Spielman specializes in livestock, managing around 100 cattle and 150 hogs. Notably, he was the first Treasurer of Burt County, a position he held for four years. His contributions have significantly impacted the agricultural landscape of the region.

Biographical Sketch of H. S. M. Spielman

H. S. M. Spielman, a farmer from Burt County, Nebraska, was born in Blair County, Pennsylvania, and moved to Huntington County before settling in Nebraska in 1857. He pre-empted 160 acres and now owns 974 acres, maintaining forty acres from his original land. Spielman has been actively involved with the local School Board since its inception and annually feeds approximately 85 cattle and 150 hogs for market.
