After graduating from Bishops College and the College of Physicians and Surgeons in Quebec, he began his practice in 1887, initially partnering with Dr. C. G. Campbell. Later, he formed a partnership with Dr. G. B. Rowell, providing significant surgical services in the area. They serve as examining surgeons for multiple life insurance companies and various societies, earning a robust reputation within the community.
