McCanna

Charles B. McCanna (1851-1913) was a prominent figure in Racine County’s dairying industry, contributing significantly to local prosperity. Originally from New York, he established successful cheese factories in Wisconsin, notably in Burlington, where he co-founded the McCanna Fraser Company and the Wisconsin Condensed Milk Company. Beyond his business ventures, McCanna served as president of various organizations and was committed to community development. His philanthropic nature and dedication to education were evident through his involvement in local governance and support for agricultural education. His passing was deeply mourned in the community.
