Biographical Sketch of Jacob B. Kohn

Jacob B. Kohn, born on May 24, 1884, in Cleveland, was the son of Adolph and Rose Koblitz Kohn. He received his education in Cleveland and worked for the Koblitz-Kohn Company in scrap metal from 1899 to 1906 before joining the company full-time in 1906. By 1912, he held the position of secretary and treasurer, while also serving as a director of the Euclid Prospect Investment Company. Kohn was active in local organizations, including the Chamber of Commerce and Benevolent Protective Order of Elks.
