Isanogel

Walter Isanogel, born on January 3, 1863, in Union Township, Madison County, Indiana, hailed from a pioneering family. He was educated locally and at the University of Indiana, ultimately becoming a respected teacher and principal in Chesterfield’s schools. Isanogel engaged in various civic roles, including assistant postmaster and deputy county treasurer, while also operating a general merchandise business until 1910. A Democrat and an active community member, he married Minnie Bronnenberg and had four children, fostering a legacy of public service in his county.
