R. Hager and S. Loman, Choctaw
E. D. Copping’s letter to Chas. D. Carter, dated February 28, 1912, advocates for the enrollment of Sylvester Loman and R. Hagar as citizens by blood of the Choctaw Nation. Sylvester Loman, born in 1892, is identified as a full-blood Choctaw and the son of Elias Loman, but was never enrolled. R. Hagar, an elderly man, believed he had been enrolled but later discovered otherwise. Affidavits from Sarah Jackson and Caroline Jackson confirm Sylvester Loman’s lineage. Copping urges Carter’s support, arguing that both individuals are entitled to recognition and land allotments.
