Biography of Thomas J. Bolger

Thomas J. Bolger, born on November 28, 1875, in Seneca, New York, is a prominent nurseryman and active participant in political and social affairs in Ontario County. The son of Irish immigrants, he faced early responsibilities after his mother’s death. Despite limited formal education, he gained practical experience in the nursery industry, eventually purchasing and merging two nurseries into the Universal Nurseries. Bolger also made strides in local politics, becoming the first Democratic alderman of the second ward and later serving as supervisor and county committeeman. He is affiliated with several local organizations and the Catholic Church.
