Seaman, Merchant Marine Service, Ship, “Lake Annie.” Born in Moore County; the son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Block. Entered the service June 7, 1918, Newport News, Va. Was sent to Boston, Mass., and from there to Montreal, Canada. Transferred to Nova Scotia. Coastwise Service. Transferred back to Boston, thence to Cuba. Made four trips. Mustered out at New York City, May 27, 1919.
