Beldin, Fred C. – Obituary

Fred C. Beldin; retired Union Pacific fireman, died at his home Tuesday of an extended illness. Graveside services will be held at Hillcrest cemetery Saturday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Dennis Mullins officiating. Born in Summerville, Mr. Beldin was a lifelong resident of Union County. He was a member of the Union Pacific Old Timers and the International Brotherhood of Fireman and Oilers. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Susan Beldin of La Grande; three step-sons, Leonard N. Campbell of la Grande, Richard E. Campbell of Newbridge., and Herbert L. Campbell of Elko, Nevada, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements … Read more

Funeral services for John J. Beldin, 83 year-old retired railroader, who died July 29, at his home, 2403 North Depot street, will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, August 3, at Snodgrass funeral home with the Rev. Floyd White officiating. Burial will be in the Masonic cemetery. He was born in Ross Grove, DeKalb county, Illinois, March 10, 1861, and had resided in La Grande for the past 55 years.
