Sailed for France May 11th, 1918. Promoted to rank of Corpl. March, 1917; Sergt. March, 1918. Fought at Ypres, St. Quentin, Bellicourt, and all other engagements of his company. Returned to U. S. A. March, 1919. Mustered out at Camp Jackson, April, 1919.
