Aug. 1, 1917; Sept. 1, 1917, to Sergt.; Nov. 13, 1917, 2nd Lt.; April 20, 1918, to 1st Lt. Fought at Flanders Sept. 2, 1918; Cambrai, St. Quentin. Wounded at Battle of Rankoff Farm, Belgium, Sept. 1, 1918. Nature of wound, shrapnel. Sent to Menningham Hospital and U. S. B. No. 58, London. Second wound, Hindenburg line, Sept. 29, 1919.
