Sent to Camp Jackson. Transferred to Camp Sevier. Sailed for France Aug. 14, 1918. Promoted to rank of Sergt., 1st Class, Jan., 1919. Fought at Vosges Mt., Meuse-Argonne offensive. Returned to USA June 22, 1919, Charleston, S. C. Mustered out at Camp Jackson, S. C., June 29, 1919.
