Private, Field Artillery, 5th B’try. Born in Moore County, July 2, 1896; son of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. McDuffie. Entered the service August 27, 1918, at Carthage, N.C. Was sent to Camp Jackson, S. C., and from there to Camp Stuart, Va. Sailed for France Nov. 9, 1918. Mustered out at Camp Lee, Va., May 12, 1919.
