Sent to Camp Jackson, Columbia, S. C. Transferred to Camp Sevier, then to Camp Merritt and overseas to France May 25, 1918. Promoted to rank of Corpl. Fought at Ypres, Somme, St. Mihiel, Meuse-Argonne. Mustered out at Camp Jackson, S. C., May 15, 1919.
