Phar. Mate (Navy), Med. Dept. Born in Montgomery County; the son of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Allen. Entered the service at Wilmington, N.C., August 13, 1917. Was sent to Charleston, S. C., and from there to Norfolk, Va. Stationed at U. S. Naval Hospital, Norfolk, Va., and at Charleston Naval Dispensary. Mustered out at Naval Hospital, Norfolk, Va., Feb. 18, 1919, into the Reserve.
