Enoch F. Chellis

ENOCH F. CHELLIS, a son of Thomas Chellis, was b. Aug. 8, 1815, in Plainfield. He came to Cornish in the winter of 1844. He m. March 7, 1843, Mrs. Sarah A. (Taft) Chase, wid. of Kimball Chase, b. June 9, 1815, and d. Feb. 4, 1888. He settled on the farm then belonging to his wife and her children (the Daniel Chase farm north of the Flat.) (See Chase.) MOSES BARROWS, JR., with Elizabeth, his wife, lived several years near the foot of Furnald Hill. They were constituent members of the Baptist Church at its organization. Charity Barrows, a sister of Moses, was also another. These were the children of Moses and Abigail Barrows, who in advanced years came to town and spent the rest of their lives. Moses, Sr., d.
