Robert E. Mills, known as Bob, 26, of Weston and formerly of Summerville, died Nov. 26 at the St. Mary Medical Center in Walla Walla.
Funeral services are planned for Dec. 2 at the Weston-McEwen High School gym in Athena with Pastor Quinton Kimbrow of the Wesley and Weston United Methodist Church officiating. Concluding services and interment will be at the Weston Cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the Weston Memorial Hall immediately following the graveside service. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to noon, 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Mills was born Aug. 29, 1980, in Reno, Nev., to Donald and Carol Lee McDaniel Mills. At the age of 3, his family left Fallon, Nev., and moved to Summerville. He attended Imbler Elementary School through the sixth grade. In 1991 the family moved to Weston. He graduated from Weston-McEwen High School in Athena in 1998.
Mr. Mills attended Blue Mountain Community College and Walla Walla Community College, earning an associate degree in auto body repair, and worked at the Pendleton Body Shop.
He was active in 4-H and FFA, showing sheep and hogs. He enjoyed soccer, baseball and football. He also enjoyed photography, drawing, hunting, fishing, working on vehicles,
4-wheeling with his flat-fender Jeep “Bouncing Betty” and camping with friends. He will be remembered most for his playful sense of humor.
Survivors include his parents, Don and Carol Lee Mills of Weston; sisters, Kim Glover of Weston, Debbie Sanders of Winnemucca, Nev., and Suzi Countryman of Fallon, Nev.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Stacey Mills, and his grandparents.
