A complete listing of all the Indian villages, towns and settlements as listed in Handbook of Americans North of Mexico.

Grosse Tête (Fr.: big head). A former Chitimacha village in Louisiana.

Guasco. A province, possibly Caddoan, visited in 1542 by Moscoso, of De Soto s army, who there found much maize; situated probably in s. w. Arkansas or N. w. Louisiana. See Gentl. of Elvas (1557) in French, Hist. Coll. La., n, 1906 1850.
