I am trying to get info on my grandmother. My moms mom. My mom was born in Plattsburgh, Clinton County, NY. I somehow got the impression she was Cayugan. The headstone is written Thressia Collins. Maiden name Martineau. Born 1881 died 1955. There is no one to ask and I can not find anything other than a census with her name and my mom and siblings.
I kick myself for not getting information when mom was alive. I don’t remember it ever being a topic back in 60’s and up.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
I do remember mom mentioning St Regis and may have gone there.
