Funeral of John A. Rowe, 68, who died Sunday night [February 24, 1952] in St. Anthony’s Hospital will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Burns Mortuary Chapel. Dr. Earle P. Cochran, of the Presbyterian Church, will officiate. Pallbearers will be Jim Rutten, Kirk Owens, Bern Moll, Everett Zuiderduin, D. C. Chapman and Louis Thorne. Mr. Rowe, native of Missouri, had lived in Umatilla County for a number of years.
John was the son of William Clifford Rowe and Eleanor Josephine Ormsby. He was one of 13 children. He married Elva Hoffman in 1905. Interment was at Olney Cemetery.
