Services for Frances Luvena Hascall, 81, housewife of 1710 4th St., who died at her home Wednesday [November 9, 1966], will be at the Crippin and Daniels Chapel, Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev. Gordon Milldrum will officiate, and burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Born in Decatur, Texas, Mrs. Hascall had resided in LaGrande for 33 years. Survivors include her husband, Maurice Eugene Hascall; one sister, Mrs. Clint T. Gould of Albuquerque, N.M., and several nieces and nephews. Louise J. Bloom, 57, an Amarillo, Texas resident, formerly of Valentine, went home to be with the Lord, September 23, 1984. She passed away at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Amarillo. Another pioneer has been laid away beneath the sod, W. S. Rogers died Thursday, February 9th at 4 o’clock a.m. after a lingering illness covering a period of 15 years. R. B. Gage, a well known farmer of East Kittitas, died Monday, Nov. 1 [1909], after a lingering illness of several weeks. Mattie G. Kinkade, 87, former resident of Ellensburg, died Tuesday April 11, 1967 in a Puyallup Nursing Home. Before moving to Puyallup four years ago, Mrs. Kinkade had resided for many years in Ellensburg. She was a native of Texas, born April 13, 1879. The body was returned to Ellensburg by the Evenson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be announced from Evenson’s. Martha was the daughter of David Hutson and Mary Crane. Arabella Fulton, Valley Pioneer, Succumbs Today. Mrs. Arabella Clemens Fulton passed away July 30 1934 at 3:45 a.m. at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Will German. She was born in Boone County, Missouri, on January 23, 1844. She crossed the plains in the spring of 1864 by wagon trains to Boise, Idaho. On November 24, 1864, she married Francis M. Fulton. Harold Loyd Gregory, 85, of Halfway, died Dec. 20, 2005, at Settler’s Park in Baker City. Loyd was born on Dec. 19, 1920 in Troy, Texas. He was the youngest — and last surviving — of the 10 children of Thomas and Minnie Gregory. He grew up in Temple, Texas, during the Great Depression and helped his family by working odd jobs, such as delivering telegrams and scraping the mortar off used bricks. Mrs. Hannah Wilson Passes Mrs. John Shurrum received a message that her mother, Mrs. Hannah Wilson had passed away in Washington, where she was visiting her son. Mrs. Wilson only a few weeks ago was a guest at the Shurrum home on Wolfe Creek, coming from Texas for a visit with her children in the northwest.
