WRIGHT. The family of this name is an early Boston family, which through marriage is allied with some of the historic families of New England, among them those of Adams, Winslow and Wentworth. We give herewith an outline of the earlier generations, beginning with the first ancestor in this country. (I) Richard Wright, born about 1607, died in Plymouth, Mass., June 9, 1691. In 1644 he married Hester Cook, and they had children: Adam, Esther and Mary. (II) Adam Wright, born about 1644, died Sept. 20, 1724. From 1890-1903, the Dedham Historical Society in Dedham Massachusetts printed a quarterly pamphlet for it’s historical society called the “Dedham Historical Register.” In this pamphlet a variety of genealogical data was published on families of Dedham and the villages emanating from the early residents of Dedham, such as Dorchester, Franklin, Medfield, Medway, Needham, and Sharon, etc.
FARRINGTON, Mary Abbie Todd9, (John D.8, Caleb7, Jehiel6, Stephen5, Stephen4, Samuel3, Samuel2, Christopher1) born Aug. 24, 1850, married May 10, 1881, Horace Farrington, who was born Oct. 2, 1822, died Feb. 20, 1890. In 1912 she was living at 56 Bellevue St., West Roxbury, Mass. Children: I. Robert Douglass, b. Dec. 22, 1883, m. Nov. 28, 1911, Edith Thayer Wood. II. Harold Phillips, b. Nov. 4, 1885. III. Elinor Miller, b. May 19, 1890.
