Union, Oregon Norma Lee Savely, 66, of Union and formerly of Susanville and Red Bluff, Calif., died May 26 at her home after an extended battle with colon cancer. A graveside service will take place June 17 in Los Molinos, Calif. There will be a picnic in the Los Molinos park immediately following. A memorial picnic will take place in Union at a later date. Union, Oregon June Christopherson, 83, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and formerly of Union, died June 16 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Conklin, Eugene – Obituary

UNION (Special) – Eugene B. Conklin died in a Portland hospital Tuesday evening following a heart attack. He had taken the exhibits, from Malheur county to the Pacific International and became ill about a week before his passing away. He was a prominent man in Eastern Oregon where he always was very active in public affairs. He was born in Ohio in 1865 and came to Oregon in 1888. Union, Union County, Oregon Dr. D. Y. K. Deering, an old-time resident of Union, well and favorably known in Union and Baker counties, died at Long Beach, California, March 18, 1927. His funeral was held March 20, interment was in the Long Beach cemetery. Dr. Deering was one time Sheriff of Union county, and a prominent figure in eastern Oregon politics.
