Orel Frances Hurse, 72, of Baker City, passed away at home last Sunday. Born in Forsyth, Missouri, he moved to Oregon at 19, where he worked as a logger and prospector. Later, he relocated to Eastern Oregon, taking on various jobs, including ranch work and gold mining near Hereford. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. tomorrow at Langrell Mortuary Chapel, officiated by Pastor Marvin Carr, with interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
