Her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Coles Funeral Home, 1950 Place St. Pastor Jack Bynum of the United Methodist Church will officiate. Vault interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Altafae Zimmerman Schmidt, 77, died Aug. 15, 2001, at Scottsdale, Ariz. Mrs. Schmidt and her husband, Richard Otto, recently relocated their home from Seattle to be near their daughter, Susyn Corrine, and son, Karl Otto, and grandson, Otto Jordan. Mrs. Schmidt was always able to make friends easily and she will be missed by all of those who knew her. Baker City, Oregon Robert E. “Bob” Powers, 82, a longtime Baker City resident, died July 3, 2002, at his home.
