Joseph, Wallowa County, Oregon John J. McClain died at the Wallowa Memorial Hospital June 26, 1978 where he had been a patient for 5 days. He was a resident of the Pioneer Guest Home, and a former resident of Medford and Salem. He was born September 30, 1886 on Upper Prairie Creek to James R. and Alice McClain. He married Ida Mae Hursch at Medical Springs, Oregon. She preceded him in death in 1939. In August of 1977 he married Lurena B. in Salem, Oregon. Mr. McClain was a meat cutter, retired. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Elmer McFetridge Dies In Dallas Elmer Clarence McFetridge, a native of Enterprise and a retired rancher, who had been in ill health for the past four years, passed away Monday morning, February 8, 1965 in a nursing home in Dallas, Ore., where he had been a patient for one month. He was the son of John and Martha McFetridge, early pioneers of Wallowa County, and was born near Enterprise on July 11, 1887. Ratcliff, T. A. – Obituary

Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon T.A. Ratcliff, a former resident of Enterprise for many years, died last Friday, September 19, 1919, at his home in Salem. He was 77 years old and had been ill for many months. A message telling that the end had come reached his son, George I. Ratcliff, Friday forenoon and he left for Salem in the afternoon. Mr. Ratcliff was born in Indiana and came to Wallowa County in 1888. He remained until 1900 when he moved to Salem where he remained. He is survived by his widow and the following children: C.A. Jackson L. Morrow passed away at Salem on April 29,1984. He was born February 11, 1896 at Heppner son of James William and Katie Rea Morrow. On July 23, 1917 he was married to Irene Johnson at Portland. He was a WWI veteran, a life member of Harmony Lodge No. 12 AM & AM, a 50 year member of the American Legion. Funeral services will be held from the Cove Episcopal church Saturday afternoon at 2 with Rev. Clarence A. Kopp in charge. Burial will be in the family plot in Cove Cemetery.
