Carsten, Henry C. Mrs. – Obituary

Mrs. Henry C. Carsten, 67, passed away at Smith Hospital after a two-week illness. Born Flora Wilson on March 10, 1862, near Roy, she lived her entire life in Washington County. She married Henry C. Carsten in 1882. Her funeral will take place at Prickett Chapel in Forest Grove on Sunday, conducted by Reverend J. R. Jeffery, with burial at Banks Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, a daughter, and several siblings, while a son predeceased her in infancy.

Wilson, Otto B. – Obituary

Otto B. Wilson, 75, of Forest Grove, passed away on Tuesday after a prolonged illness. A longtime resident of western Washington County, he was born on July 10, 1889, near Roy. Mr. Wilson worked as a machinist for much of his life, including a stint with the railroad. He is survived by his widow Mabel, two daughters, a stepmother, a sister, and three grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Fuiten-Friesen Mortuary Chapel, followed by interment at Forest Grove cemetery.
