Simonis, Joseph Henry – Obituary

Joseph Henry Simonis, 79, of Richland, died there Sunday afternoon. Mr. Simonis was born March 21, 1874, at Stevens Point, Wis. He came to Baker county when he was six months old and had lived in the area since. Mr. Simonis was a blacksmith and miner by profession. He was a member of the Catholic church. Mr. Simonis is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ella Kirby, Durkee, and Mrs. Anna Cropp, Baker. Four brothers, Louis and Leander, Baker, and Alex and Ed, Richland, also survive him, as do several nieces and nephews. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. … Read more
