Ellenberger, Caroline Mary – Obituary

Mrs. Caroline M. Ellenberger, 74 years old, died Tuesday [June 15, 1926] at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Perry of Milton, she having been her daughter’s guest for several weeks. Mrs. Ellenberger leaves also one son, Albert of Pilot Rock, Ore., with whom she made her home; two other daughters, Mrs. Bertha Lightfoot, Sacramento, Cal.; Mrs. Jane Blanchard, Pendleton, Ore.; 27 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Baker City, Oregon Johnnie N. “John” Burlew, 85, a longtime Baker City resident, died Feb. 11, 2003, at his home. His funeral will be at noon Saturday at First Lutheran Church, 1734 Third St. Pastor Dennis Hickman of the First Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery. Everett M. Lyon Everett M Lyon, 83, died April 9 surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held Tuesday in Mount Vernon, Mo. John C. “Jake” Hefner, 69, of Union, died Sept. 12 at the Grande Ronde Hospital. A celebration of life will begin at 2 p.m. Friday at Daniels Chapel of the Valley.
