Dorothe Mae Derrick, 76, a longtime resident of Othello, Wash., and a former Baker City resident, died June 7, 2001, at the Beverly Health Care Center at Othello. Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Church of the Nazarene at Othello. Pastor Robert Luhn will officiate. There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery. Pastor Neil Castle of the Baker City Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Elizabeth “Betty” Earley, 77, of Prineville died Feb. 9, 2003. Visitations are today at the Whispering Pines Funeral Home at Prineville. There will be no service. Elizabeth was born on June 21, 1925, at Moorehead, Ky., to Van and Flora Holbrook Vaughn. She married Crawford Earley in 1956 at Baker City. She attended school in Virginia. Edmund “Boomer” Charles Lyons, 38, died at his home in Enumclaw, Wash., June 8. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. June 30 at the Hermiston Eagles Lodge, 160 N.W. Second St., Hermiston. Boomer was born in Othello, Wash., on Sept. 4, 1968, to Evelyn Lyons and Ed C. Lyons I. In 1993, Boomer met his future wife, Chrissy, at Crabby’s bar and it was love at first sight.
