Bracken, Arthur Ellsworth – Obituary
Arthur E. Bracken, a respected funeral director in Kingfisher, passed away at the age of 78 on January 23, 1948. Originally from Oakhill, Kansas, he moved to Kingfisher in 1893, where he operated a furniture store for 26 years and owned a drugstore for seven. Involved in the Funeral Directors Association since its inception in 1901, he contributed to the first embalming legislation. Bracken was also a charter member of the Rotary Club and served as president of the Chamber of Commerce.
