Dr. Leo J. Flanagan, one of the county’s well-known physicians and surgeons, is located in South San Francisco where he has been practicing for the past year. Before moving into this county Dr. Flanagan had a large practice in San Francisco. Dr. Flanagan is another of the young professional men who has been attracted to San Mateo County by the wonderful opportunities that the future holds. Findley, Clarence – Obituary

Funeral services for Clarence Findley will be conducted tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. at McDonald’s Chapel. Burial will be in the Redding Cemetery. Findley died in a Redding hospital Monday [October 21, 1957] after a long illness. He was born in Napa, Aug. 25, 1872 and he lived in Shasta County all of his adult life. He was a retired carpenter. Valley Pioneer, Tom Montgomery, Succumbs today. Death follows a three months Illness; funeral to be held her on Thursday. W. T. Montgomery, 74, Kittitas Valley pioneer, passed away at the home of his daughter Mrs. Leta Bates, 200 N. Sprague Street early this afternoon [December 22, 1931]. Mr. Montgomery’s death followed an ailment of three months duration, which confined him to bed. His passing marks the end of another pioneer life vividly reminiscent of long treks over the plains in covered wagons. Ardyce L. Coleman, 64, of Lexington, Ky., a former Baker City and La Grande resident, died Sept. 9, 2004, at her home after an extended illness. There was a private family memorial service on Sept. 15 at Grandview Cemetery in La Grande. She was born on Oct. 28, 1939, at La Grande to Arthur S. and Laura M. Garrett. Crego, Ernest LaVern – Obituary

Ernest LaVern Crego, 84, died Dec. 16, 2000, at Napa, Calif. There was a Celebration of Life service for him Friday at St. Helena, Calif. Mr. Crego was born on Oct. 19, 1916, to Elmer Augustus Crego and Rena Antoinette Hall Crego at Kendall, N.Y. He was the youngest and last surviving of three children. He grew up at Holley, N.Y., and entered the U.S. Navy at the age of 18. He served his country as chief petty officer in both the Korean War and World War II.
