JACKSON WRIGHT. – Mr. Wright’s life on this coast embodies bits of a sharp experience with Indians as may be found in the records of any of our pioneers. He was born in Missouri in 1842, and in 1850 came to Oregon with his father Lazorus Wright, who took up a Donation claim on Myrtle creek, and was a captain in the war of 1855-56. Luella Harrison Densmore, 91, of Pendleton, died Feb. 20, 2005, at Willowbrook Terrace in Pendleton. At her request, there will be no funeral services. Arrangements are in care of Bishop Funeral Chapel in Pendleton. Mrs. Densmore was born in New Bridge on April 14, 1913, the daughter of William and Lavina Chipman Ewing. She lived her younger years in New Bridge, where she received her education. She married Victor Lee Harrision in Payette, Idaho, on Nov. 18, 1929. They had a son, Harvey L. Harrison. Baker City, Oregon Opal Ellen Halberg, 75, died March 3, 2004, at her home in Baker City. Her private graveside service will be Tuesday at the Odd Fellows Cemetery at Myrtle Creek. Mrs. Halberg was born at Enid, Okla., on July 6, 1928, to Jacob and Rachel Abbott. She married her high school sweetheart, Lewis Cox, in 1945 and shortly afterward moved to the West Coast. She lived at Myrtle Creek and at Canyonville for several years before relocating in Baker City in 1991. She was a caring neighbor and enjoyed her hobby of collecting cookie jars. Services Held For Mary Renfrow Memorial services for Mary A. Renfrow sho passed away Thursday, December 4, 1958 in Forest Grove, where conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. by the Bollman Funeral Home from the Enterprise Church. The Rev. Al Boschee officiated, and Mrs. Don Kooch was organist. Mrs. Al Boschee and Mrs. Delbert Pratt sang “In The Garden” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” Casket bearers were: A.J. Michael Don Moschkau, 32, of La Grande, died peacefully in his sleep on Jan. 9. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 1 p.m. at Faith Lutheran Church on Gekeler Lane in La Grande. Clara Harding, 91, of Halfway died March 9, 2006. Her funeral took place Sunday at the Pine Valley Christian Center in Halfway.
