Margaret Esther Ihrig, 68, passed away on January 27, 2006, in Granite, Oregon. Born on June 8, 1937, in Ulysses, Kansas, she was the daughter of Hyle and Ruth Winslow. Margaret and her husband, John, spent 50 years together, during which they moved frequently due to his Air Force career. After retiring in Granite, she enjoyed sewing, crafting, and fishing. Margaret is survived by her husband, three children, six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Her funeral took place at McEwen Bible Fellowship Church.

Rogers, Vernon Irving “Vern” – Obituary

Vernon Irving “Vern” Rogers, 84, of Baker City, Oregon, passed away on September 9, 2004, in Boise, Idaho. Born on August 23, 1920, in Maquon, Illinois, he was the eldest of nine siblings. Vern served as a B-17 bomber mechanic in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and had a long career as an auto mechanic throughout the western United States. He was married three times and is survived by his wife, Ethel, and several sons, siblings, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Whitley, Brett Allen – Obituary

Brett Allen Whitley, 24, of Medical Springs, Oregon, passed away on September 2, 2001. Born in Merced, California, in January 1977, he graduated from Baker High School in 1995 and earned a degree in forestry from Treasure Valley Community College. An outdoors enthusiast, he enjoyed hunting, camping, and snowboarding. Brett is survived by his parents, Phil and Judy Whitley, a brother, and extended family. His funeral is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, followed by interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.
