Compton, Moses – Obituary

Mode [Moses] D. Compton, fifty-nine years old, well known in this county and city, was found dead in bed early Saturday morning [July 19, 1919] by his wife, who had gone to awaken him at his home one mile east of Edinburg, in Johnson County. Mr. Compton attended the races at Edinburg, Friday, and enjoyed the day. A stroke of apoplexy was said to have been the cause of his death, according to a statement of Dr. Sheek, Johnson County coroner. Nading, Walter Raymond – Obituary

Walter R. Nading, age 67, lifelong resident of Shelby County, dropped dead while at work Friday at the elevator in Lewis Creek. He had been in failing health and a heart attack was the cause of death. Mr. Nading was born in Shelby County in 1877, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Nading. He had spent his entire life in the Flat Rock and Lewis Creek communities. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge at Norristown. Survivors include four children; Mrs. H.O.
