Biography of Frank L. Abbey M. D.
Frank L. Abbey, M.D., longtime Newton physician and former druggist, was closely associated with Axtell Hospital for much of his career, serving nearly twenty years as anesthetist and fifteen years as Harvey County coroner. Born in Illinois in 1861, he studied at Kansas University, practiced medicine in Newton, and built a prominent family home there in 1912.
