Biography of Clark Nichols

Clark Nichols, attorney at law in Eufaula and a member of the State senate from McIntosh, Muskogee and Haskell counties, was born in Elk County, Kansas, on the 16th of November, 1880, a son of John A. and Mary C. (Conover) Nichols, both natives of Illinois. The father removed to Kansas at an early age and acquiring land in Elk County, farmed there until 1889, in which year he, removed to Joplin, Missouri. Biography of Harry R. Harshbarger

Harry R. Harshbarger of Sedan had found varied employment for his energies since he reached manhood, but is now chiefly engaged in the business of oil production, and had some of the most valuable properties of that kind in Chautauqua County. He was born at Vermilion, Edgar County, Illinois, May 28, 1868. His father was John W. Harshbarger, long and favorably known in Kansas. John W. was born in Cabell County, Virginia, in what is now West Virginia, in 1835. Biographical Sketch of John Randolph Allen

John Randolph Allen a pioneer of Tennessee was the father John Randolph Allen, born in 1836. Married in 1876, Nora Martin, born in 1858, they were natives of Tennessee. John Randolph and Nora (Martin) Allen were the parents of John Randolph Allen, born February 1877 in Chicago, Illinois. Married at Fort Smith, Arkansas December 25, 1916, Lulu, daughter of George and Mary Vaughn, born May 8, 1892 in Arkansas City, Kansas. Mr. Allen organized and directed the first elusively Indian agricultural and art fair among the Seminole and Creek Indians at Wetumka, Hughes County.

Crawford, Nels – Obituary

The second when Nels Crawford, aged 20, of Baker was killed happened about 4:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Crawford accompanied by Bruce Alexander another youth, were driving a racing car on the Baker-Cornucopia highway. At a point near the schoolhouse, the car left the road and the boys were thrown out. Young Crawford lived only a short time. Alexander received injuries, but is now on the road to recover. The body of Crawford was shipped to Wetumka, Oklahoma, to relatives.
