Steve was born on Nov. 23, 1942, at Akron, Ohio, to Michael James Miscoe Sr. and June Leone McMullen Miscoe. He grew up and attended school at Seaside and later served in the U.S. Air Force in Vietnam. He worked as a long-haul truck driver and a heavy equipment operator.
