Helen Marie Holt Tilcock, 88, peaceably passed away July 17, 2005, with her daughter at her bedside. A graveside inurnment service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6, at Mount Hope Cemetery. There will be a reception at Geiser Pollman Park. She was born on Dec. 10, 1916, at Harrison, Ark., to Kirby & Beulah Garrison Holt. When she was about 2, her parents and grandparents moved by wagon to Pampa, Texas. Her father and grandfather farmed for awhile and then Kirby went into construction. Shirley J. Wilson, 65, of Helena, Mont., died April 4, 2003, at St. Peter’s Hospital after a long illness. Mass of Christian burial was Saturday, April 12, at Sts. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church at East Helena, Mont. Interment was at St. Ann’s Cemetery. Shirley was born at Pampa, Texas, on May 17, 1937, to George and Helen Tilcock. She was later joined by a brother, Don, and a sister, Sherry. Her father drove truck in heavy hauling, so the family moved quite often. Holt came to Kansas a number of years ago as a railway employee, but soon took up banking and had had a wide experience in that field, partly in Kansas and partly in Northwestern Texas, and is now cashier of the Central National Bank of Ellsworth. This is one of the largest and most substantial banks in Southern Kansas. Mr. Holt was born at Grafton, West Virginia, August 2, 1879.
