Charles Irvin Stuart was born April 5, 1891 on a farm southwest of Glen Elder, Kansas, and at the age of 86 years, died July 29, 1977 at the Mitchell County Hospital, Beloit, Kansas. He was one of eight children born to Ivey and Phoebe Wooten Stuart. As a boy, Irvin attended the Grelett Rural School and an agriculture course at Kansas State College. Stuart, Phoebe A. Wooten – Obituary

Mrs. Phoebe Stuart of two miles southwest of Glen Elder died at her home at 9 o’clock Tuesday forenoon, January 11, 1927. Her death followed a serious illness of about 10 days, and a lingering illness of several years. During most of the time for the past few years, Mrs. Stuart had been an invalid, but the care and loving attentions shown her by her son, Arthur, and daughter, Miss Mary, are worthy of much praise. Haines, Baker County, Oregon Vernon E. Shull, 88, died April 9, 2006, at his home in Haines. His graveside memorial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Haines Cemetery. Chaplain Assistant Sgt.
