Biographical Sketch of Jasper Holmes Sheadle
Jasper Holmes Sheadle was born in New Bedford, Pennsylvania, to Obediah and Sarah Barnheisel Sheadle. He was educated at public schools and Hiram College, marrying Kate Buckingham in New York. His career began in banking before transitioning to the gas industry in New York City. By 1888, he was secretary of the Mahoning Valley Iron Manufacturers Association and later secretary for Cleveland Cliffs Iron Company, overseeing ore sales and lake transportation. Sheadle held various significant roles in multiple companies and was an active member of several professional organizations.
