Lewis, Gwyn – Obituary

Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Gwyn E. Lewis, 65, died at home in Enterprise May 27, 1999. He was born at West Jefferson, N.C. Sept. 12, 1933, to Jesse and Nele Lewis. He moved to Oregon in 1952. Gwyn married Peggy Trump on May 13, 1953. They were married 46 years in May. Gwyn enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and family outings. Gwyn worked in the woods logging most of his life. Enterprise, Oregon Allie Albertson, 103, of Salem, and a former La Grande resident, died July 7, 2001, at a Salem care center. Her graveside funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Island City Cemetery. The Rev. Mark Schlessman of the La Grande First Christian Church will officiate. Mrs. Albertson was born Feb. 19, 1898, at Boreing, Ky. Enterprise, Wallowa County, Oregon Mrs. Harry Wade Funeral Today Death came to Mrs. Sylvia Wade Sunday, February 10 at Wallowa Memorial Hospital, following a long illness. She had been a patient in the hospital for the past five months and previous to that had spent much time in hospitals in Portland.
